1. The eigth series to contain cards with The GPK Acronym found within the artwork. The GPK acronym found on the fertilizer bag of cards 532a "Fertile LIZA" and 532b "HORACE Manure".

2. The only series with a Sideways (or horizontal) Puzzle.

4. The only series to have the Same Sounding Name and Spelling as another series. Cards 246a "JOHN John" (6th series) and 539a "John JOHN".

5. The fourth series Without a Light Blue or Light Pink name bar.

6. The Wrapper was made in 1987 and the Cards have a 1988 trademark date -- product development such as advertising, boxes and wrappers are always manufactured first.

1. Artist Tom Bunk had Different Renditions For several of his 13th series Color Roughs. Below are some examples of these various color versions that you can compare to the actual color roughs for cards 506a "Tire JACK " and 506b "Crankin' FRANKLIN", 514a "Ampu-TED" and 514b "HANS Off", 516a "Bubblin' LYNN" and 516b "Heavin' HEATHER", 520a "Sprinking JOSE" and 520b "JAY Spray", and 536a "Scrambled AGGIE" and 536b " SONNY Side Up".






2. This Tom Bunk Unpublished GPK was finished in 1988 and was intended for the 13th series but reworked, the image was changed from a boy to a girl with a background added to become cards 536a "Scrambled AGGIE" and 536b "SONNY Side Up".


3. The 13th series "FLICK IT ! " section artwork on the back of the cards which emulates a flipbook-type effect was completed By Richard McGuire. The puzzle backs were completed by artist Jay Lynch who completed the color roughs and final artwork, assisted by Gary Whitney.

4. Flowcharts were created For the later GPK series', which showed the art director how the work of the new set was going -- which artist was working on which concept piece, and the stage in which the painting had been completed. Often, concept pieces were denied and the department tried to work them into later sets. A list of additional concept pieces was found at the bottom of the flowchart in case pieces could not be used. The 13th series contained the following ideas which either replaced denied concept pieces within the set, were saved for a later series, or never saw the light of day: "Johnson Smith suicide", "kid with dog on hand and arm", "bugs swarming head" (16th), "cigarette lighter", "kangaroo killer" (unpublished).
