The same day, Topps added a GPK Valentine's trending-now image link to their GPK landing page, with the set title, '2026 Garbage Pail Kids Valentine's Day', that stated 'COMING SOON'. Once the trending-now image was clicked, it brought the consumer to the GPK Valentine's Day page (https://www.topps.com/pages/garbage-pail-kids-valentines-day) that showcased seven set images and stated, "Available February 12 at 2pm ET [NOTE: these posted at 3pm ET]. 2026 Garbage Pail Kids Valentine’s Day. Get ready for a party as we celebrate Valentine’s Day with the Garbage Pail Kids." A collector could also select a 'Get notified' button to enter their email address that stated, "Sign up to be notified of Garbage Pail Kids Valentine's Day. Available February 12 at 2pm ET. The 'About the release' section simply stated, "Collect the entire 50 card base set featuring some of your favorite Garbage Pail Kids getting ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day! On February 05, 2026, artist JOE Simko took to social media to announce the set with his 'Spider DANE' mock-up card image, stating, "New Garbage Pail Kids art. Valentines set coming out next week." On the same day, artist MIKE Stephens also took to his social media channels to share his submission, stating, "I painted this little heartthrob for the upcoming GPK Valentines release. On February 06, 2026, artist NEIL Camera took to Facebook to post his JESS Express piece, stating, "Time to get on the love train with the all-new GPK Valentines Day set coming soon to Topps.com! Chugga chugga!" On February 09, 2026, the Topps Pop! social media page posted the five main mock-up card images, all with red 'frames' around the card border, announcing the release of the upcoming set, stating, "BE MINE! 2026 Garbage Pail Kids Valentine’s Day coming February 12th." On June 12, 2026, Topps dropped an unannounced GPK x Feid card, with artwork taken from the Colombian singer's new album cover, 'El Moco Verde' (The Green Booger; ®© 2026 Grabaciones Los Poderosos, Distributed by UMG Recordings, Inc.), with final line artwork reportedly created by Feid's sister, Manuela Villada Hoyos, who studies graphic design, and Juan Chospi, the colorist. Salomón Villada Hoyos, more commonly known as his stage name Feid or Ferxxo, is a songwriter and record producer that often blends reggaeton, Latin trap, and urban pop with Medellin cultural flavor into his music. The card image was advertised on their frontpage within the 'Just dropped' section and to it's own landing page. The same day, Topps shared a post, to their social media channels with ToppsPop and Feid, stating, "TOO TOUGH. Feid used GPK artwork for the cover of his latest mixtape, and now that same art is officially a trading card! The exclusive EL MOCO VERDE trading card is available now. Link in Stories."



On June 12, 2026, artist DAVID Gross took to his Facebook channel posting the tight sketch artwork, stating, "I designed the artwork for Colombian singer Feid's (otherwise known as Ferxxo) new mix tape cover art and a Garbage Pail Kids card by Topps. Just the pencil artwork. Not sure who or how the rest of the work was done since people have been asking. From what I understand Feid is a MASSIVE GPK fan so props to him for that. Gross later posted to Instagram, the album artwork, stating, "New Garbage Pail Kids cover art I contributed to FEID’s new album El Mocho Verde (The Green Booger). I did the pencil art concept design and @juanchospi [Juan Chospi] did all the color work! You can also get a GPK card of this at Topps.com. Check out the new music by FEID on Spotify." Gross also responded to a post and mentioned, "I've seen a number of posts on Instagram crediting Juan Chospi as the artist. He is Feid's lead graphic artist so I think it's not AI but rather all computer rendering." NOTE: It may be Manuela Hoyos, Feid's sister.

On June 19, 2026, Gross responded back to a collector who mentioned that the musician concept chosen was too unknown/obscure for a GPK character; Gross offered some great background information and frame-of-reference on the matter, stating, "Here's the details on this one. Even though no one (including me!) knew who he was it turns out this guy is a megastar outstide the US. Like 15M followed on Insta, 8M on Spotify. He's a huge GPK fan and, like Green Day, was the one that sought out doing this. I actually drew this [concept] two years ago got what would have been I think a five card mini set. One thing or another didn't work out and it was shelved. He wanted to do GPK for his new album artwork and they pulled one of the roughs from the five or so we all did and it just happened to be mine. I assumed I would be painting it but like everyone else saw it just pop up all finished that day it came out. But of a surprise but I was already two years over this one. I've chatted with Feid's graphic designer and he's the one that did the color art. Seems like a nice guy. But in the end this was strictly a niche card for an album project and the target audience was stricktly his fans. So I would say if you one didn't really like it or want to buy it that's totally understandable." NOTE, the print run (PR:) was 5783 in total.

The Garbage Pail kids artists involved in working on the Bizarre Competitions project, with the then working title of 'Bizarre Sports', began conceptual designs in March 2026 with Topps approval in April 2026. The thematic artwork, mainly painted in June 2026, is based off of peculiar rivalry events and contests located around the world. The set consists of thirty concepts in total, where twenty were completed by artist BRENT Engstrom and ten pieces were finished by artist Smokin' JOE McWilliams, plus the six award medals.

On Thursday, August 06, 2026, the mini set of 11 cards was released around 1pm CT; the 'pack' image did not appear within the 'Just Dropped' section of the front page of the Topps website until late Friday, on August 07, 2026, having to scroll all the way to the end/right. GPK News posted the advert for the upcoming fourth mini-set drop on August 12, 2026, prior to Wave 4 of the Week 4 release on the next day, which featured the Toe JOE character. Although Topps skipped the third release, they posted the fourth advert sheet to their Facebook account very early on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 9:17am CT, simply stating, "GPK Bizarre Competitions Wave 4, exclusively available till 8/20." On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the mini set of 11 cards was released around 1pm CT; the 'pack' image appeared within the 'Just Dropped' section of the front page of the Topps website on August 13, 2026, after the drop. Artist BRENT Engstrom posted his final artwork and mock-up card images for his submissions over the next few days stating, "2026 Topps Garbage Pail Kids: Bizarre Competitions Wave 4 for sale on the Topps website for one week only!", for each character. Artist Smokin' JOE McWilliams posted his award submission on the afternoon of August 13, 2026, stating, "GPK: Bizarre Competitions WAVE 4 is now available (until August 20). Competitors sit facing each other, interlock big toes, and attempt to pin the opponent's foot against a steel post. It is governed by the World Toe Wrestling Federation and the Toe Wrestling Championship organization. CARD 17: Per Wiki, the Cardboard Tube Fighting League (CTFL) is a global organization that hosts cardboard tube based events in Seattle, WA, San Francisco, CA, and Sydney, Australia. Participants compete in tournaments and battles where cardboard tube fighters go head-to-head in an attempt to break their oppotent's tube without breaking their own. CARD 18: Per Wiki, zorbing (aka globe-riding, sphering or orbing) is the recreation or sport of rolling downhill inside a zorb. First played in Stien Vermeiren, Rotorua, New Zealand, in 1994. CARD 19: Ostrich racing is a worldwide sport and spectacle; speeds can reach upwards of 40mph and they are rather difficult to control, which often leads to unpredictable racing results and conditions. CARD 20: The Slap Fight Championship, made even more popular by Power Slap, a premier fight organization licensed and sanctioned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, is an open-handed face slapping competition.

09. The Mars Attacks Xmas release took place on October 06, 2026 and contained two GPK characters, reprinted as two regular cards & two foil cards with parallels. The boxes had a presale listing of $64.99 each, but increased to $69.99 at release; a case option was also available for roughly $1400. The 'Present' Mini Cards SSP (super short print) subset contained eight reprinted GPK characters and Wacky Packages products numbering PM-18 to PM-25. The 'Present' cards came enclosed within a Greeting Card Box Topper or within a Present Rip Card gift packaging with the backside listing the number, P-1 (silver) + P-2 (blue) + P-3 (green) + P-4 (red) + P-5 (pink), and stating, 'Did you make it on the Nice List this year?' on the backside.



The PM-19 Destroying A. DOUG image was taken from the 2017 Series 1 ADAM-Geddon release, from within the 'Alien Invasion Sticker' subset, for cards 2a Destroying A. DOUG & 2b Alien IVAN, with artwork by JOE Simko. The PM-25 Alien IAN scanned image was taken from the Original Series 4 set, for cards 138a Alien IAN & 138b Outerspace CHASE, with artwork by JOHN Pound. It's interesting to note that a later reprinted image wasn't chosen that contained a new banner style, so the curved-banner release is a rarity and shows the original die-cut outline. NOTE: The website and release state 'Christmas', but the box and packaging state 'Xmas'.

The final checklist, uploaded as a PDF to the Topps website, only listed the card numbers and nomenclature, but did not state 'Wacky Packages' or 'Garbage Pail Kids' (GPK) anywhere within the release, inluding the website landing page. SSP (super short print) cards tend to be unannounced and unlisted, or no print run details available. The final odds information, also uploaded as a PDF to the Topps website, contained the 'Present' Mini Cards within the hobby release, but no odds were printed, but it did list parallel cards of 'Rainbow', 'Green', 'Red', & 'Gold' for the Present Mini Cards. NOTE: I have only seen the regular and rainbow versions listed online.

RIPPED: Why are GPK and Halloween such a natural fit? Francis: Halloween has huge appeal across generations. The holiday makes people go the extra mile, whether with decorations, costumes, parties, candy, Trick or Treating. It’s the wacky holiday, and Garbage Pail Kids was built to celebrate something like Halloween. It’s a holiday for kids to embrace monsters, gore, and mischief that adults might, at other times, discourage. One night a year, being gross, scary, or a little unruly isn’t just allowed, it’s the whole point. We wanted to make a release that captured that energy and brought that night to life with GPK cards.

What is it like working on a GPK product? What makes putting together a GPK release unique? GPK never stops being fun, because that fun is such a foundational part of the brand. This is built on a long history of wacky, irreverent, visually compelling designs.Putting together a GPK release is about taking your imagination to the limit and beyond. It’s awesome to be part of. Garbage Pail Kids gives you a kind of creative freedom you rarely get.

Is there a subset you are particularly excited about? I think collectors are going to love the Scream Queen subset. A Scream Queen is an actress best known for starring in horror films, especially slashers or supernatural movies. The Scream Queen spends much of the film running, screaming, and fighting for survival against a killer or monster. We try to capture the experience of Halloween in the cards themselves. Since scary movies are such a huge part of Halloween for so many people, this seemed like a perfect place in the GPK landscape to put these great cards. And, of course, we picked some of the most iconic horror movie actresses of all-time for this set. Jamie Lee Curtis, Neve Campbell, and Sarah Michelle Gellar are among the stars here.

What inspired the Artwork Variation designs? This is a really engaging part of the base set. The variations, when collected alongside the base card, give collectors a fun Spot the Difference type game to play. Some of the changes are easy to spot, but some can be pretty hard!

What are some of the other highlights in 2026 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Halloween? The Artist Sketch Cards are an exciting addition. It’s always great to have original artwork in the release. Collectors can look for the original paintings that were used to make the cards. So many of our collectors are fans of the artists who make GPK, so another cool aspect to look out for is our Artist Autographs.

# 11. On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the Svengoolie team took to their social media channels during SDCC to announce an upcoming GPK crossover card release, stating, "Fresh out of San Diego Comic-Con! Sven and the Squad are getting their very own Garbage Pail Kids Cards - collect 'em all! More details about how you can get yours coming in October.", as well as a video an hour later of Gwengoolie, IMP & Nostalgiaferatoo announcing the upcoming release, with print mentioning, "Talk about a grossly awesome reveal! The Sven Squad is officially getting their very own Garbage Pail Kids cards, fresh off their big debut at San Diego Comic-Con! See where to get yours in October!", with Gwen proclaiming, "Thanks Garbage Pail Kids, you're the Topps!", near the end of the video.

Svengoolie is a hosted horror-movie television program that also includes science-fiction films, small sketches, trivia, parody song performances, corny jokes, etcetera, that originated in the Chicago, IL area in 1970. 'Svengoolie' is a portmanteau of the words Svengali and ghoul. Svengali is a character originally from the novel Trilby, but the word svengali has come to be known as a person with evil intent whom controls others. Per Wiki, personality actor Rich Koz took over the role of Svengoolie in 1979 as the 'Son of Svengoolie', but the moniker truncated when the show was revived in 1994. Kerwyn, voiced by Koz, is a smart-aleck rubber chicken puppet who assists Svengoolie in reviewing viewer fan mail and photos. Gwengoolie, with Gwen being a rhyme of Sven, joined the cast in 2023 as part of the 'Sven Squad' after a 'Spawn of Svengoolie' talent search. Ignatius Malvolio Prankenstein (IMP), a devilish imp-like character, with 'Prankenstein' being a portmanteau of the words prank and Frankenstein, also joined the group as part of the 'Sven Squad', around the same time, along with Nostalgiaferatoo, a combination of the words 'nostalgia' and 'Nosferatu', based off of the infamous vampire character, first appearing on the show in 2022.



Per artist BRENT Engstrom, the Svengoolie team had reached directly out to the Topps company in 2026 to inquire about a potential crossover release; they possibly had Engstrom in mind and requested him personally to create the artwork. Historically speaking, in 2015, Engstrom painted the above portrayed piece of Svengoolie 'for the fun of it' and sent it to the Svengoolie's Facebook page address and he was eventually told that it would be shown on a future program. The untitled artwork piece, I'll coin SVEN Ghoul, would have fit incredibly well within the GPK releases by Topps. The artwork was later considered for the Garbage Pail Kids Revenge of "Oh, the Horror-ible!" Series 2 (2019S2) set in October 2019 but unfortunately replaced by a parody piece for the thriller movie Us instead. The suggested nomenclature was 'SVEN Goolie' and 'Rotten RICH', per the tight concept artwork.

The Svengoolie x GPK set was released on October 23, 2026 and posted to the MeTV Mall, which contains the Svengoolie shop, as part of a special Collector's Edition bundle, which includes a plethora of Svengoolie goodies. The 2026 Svengoolie Bundle is/was limited to 150, therefore, the GPK set is/was also limited to 150 in total that were released.
