KAKKONES = A play on the Italina word 'cacca' (poop) and a modified noun, much like Sgorbions meaning 'The Uglies', the word Kakko may mean 'gross', 'dirty', 'smelly', so Kakkones could loosely be translated as 'The Stinkers'. The All-New Series 2 Kakkones, the second disgusting GPK 'card game', was released in the late winter of 2009, around February and March, by Topps Europe Ltd. (Merlin Collections), and printed in Italy. The sequel set was released due to the continued interest and nostaligia of the 80's and 90's GPK period in the U.S. and Italy and are images taken from the U.S. All-New Series sets. Like Kakkones Series 1, the new Italian set is comprised of 97 characters, without any A-name or B-name twin cards, includes 10 'Diploma' cards, 16 'Stink' cards and a binder-only card. Each paper pack contains 4 game cards, an opportunity for a chase card, and folded card game instructions. The set contains cards the same size (2.5 x 3.5 in) as the Sgorbions releases from the early 1990's. A rebranded Sgorbions set, a reproduction of the 2008 Kakkones Series 1 set, was realesed in 2018. |

The 97 Card Set is set up into 'gross'
categories with the 'Diploma' cards, that replace the numbering of the
Kakkones ANS1 set, and sixteen 'Stink' cards numbering P1-P16. The character
image on the card front matches the theme of the game card on back,
although some stray drastically from this rule-of-thumb.
— The set has replaced the gross-green borders of Kakkones ANS1 and replaced them with a Orange-Red Border that goes well with the ANS2 'poop' theme. This is very reminiscent of Italy's earlier GPK releases called the Sgorbions where the sets after the 1st release contained coloured borders. — The set contains No Checklist, the back of the card album acts as the checklist for the game card set. As a first, the album contains only images and numbers/letters for the characters, the names on the images are too small to read. This is very similar to the U.S. and Canadian sticker album backs made by the Imperial Toy Corporation that more or less showcased uncut sheets.  — Since the set contains No Stickers and is completely card-based, the set has no 'PEEL HERE' arrows. And much like album-based sticker sets, the card number shows up on the back of the game card, rather than the front, which usually occurs for most internatiaonl GPK stickers sets that are 'pasted' into albums ... this leaves the front of the card looking very 'clean'. — The set covers various Characters from the U.S. All-New Series 4, All-New Series 5, and All-New Series 6 sets. The Kakkones ANS1 and ANS2 sets do not take any U.S. card images from the All-New Series 3 or All-New Series 7 sets. |
